Home Learning
Home learning is important for students as it allows them to work independently, at home, at their own pace and with parental support.
My Maths (paid for by Aureus School)
My Maths is a popular online resource to develop skills in mathematics. It is widely used across the country as a tool by Maths departments to complement the KS3 curriculum. Students can access the programme at home and practice their skills independently. A login will be provided by the Maths team.

Reading Lists
Evidence shows that students whose parents encourage time and space to read at home, often outperform students who do not read regularly. With this in mind, please find our Reading lists below
Spelling
Spelling is hugely important as a skill for life. We encourage all learners to refine their spelling by practising at home. A useful activity at home is to test your child on commonly misspelled words. We will be holding spelling bees as a way to celebrate students’ learning.
We hope that you find these resources a useful addition to your home routine for your child. It is advised that you find a quiet space for students to complete their extended learning activities, away from noise and distraction. If you do not have access to a computer at home, you can visit your local library where there will be IT facilities that can be used by young people.
