Welcome to Aureus School

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Aureus School. I have a passion for comprehensive education and I firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. My approach is driven by my belief in inclusive education and centred around high expectations of all students.

As the only co-educational comprehensive school in Didcot we have a fantastic student body whose range of attributes contribute to making Aureus School a vibrant community. I have the privilege to be working with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff body who are passionate about inspiring our young people every single day, enabling them to thrive.

A big well done to all the students who participated in the ‘Race for Life’ charity run at the end of last term! Since the event resumed post-COVID in 2021, we have raised an outstanding total of £10,752.51 ! We are thrilled with this remarkable achievement and the positive impact it will have on Cancer Research. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause.

Sidney, in Year 8, found out last week that, after auditioning with hundreds of others, he was successful in gaining a place at Tap Attack on their Mid 1 Associates Programme 2026-27. There are so few spaces available, and this is a huge achievement! Well done, Sidney!

Grace at the Barre’ delivered a brilliant conditioning workshop for our Year 10 dancers yesterday. She explored strength, posture and alignment, showing students how these foundations can transform their technique and support safe, powerful dancing. Grace also introduced a range of physio‑informed exercises that the dancers can continue to use in their training. Our Year 10s were an absolute credit to the school. They were focused, respectful and fully engaged throughout.
