GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Welcome to Aureus School

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Aureus School. I have a passion for comprehensive education and I firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. My approach is driven by my belief in inclusive education and centred around high expectations of all students.

As the only co-educational comprehensive school in Didcot we have a fantastic student body whose range of attributes contribute to making Aureus School a vibrant community. I have the privilege to be working with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff body who are passionate about inspiring our young people every single day, enabling them to thrive.

This Thursday (12th February), year 7 & 8 students can wear their PE kit to school to complete their 5k Race for Life, raising money for Cancer Research and the MSA Trust. They have run their socks off this term during PE and at home and we are extremely proud of the resilience and dedication they have already shown. If you would like to donate or sponsor a student, please follow the link of their choice: Cancer research: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/aureusraceforlife2026 The MSA Trust: https://www.justgiving.com/page/aureus-school-4?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

'Corbett Maths 5-a-day' is a daily maths revision resource providing five short, mixed-topic questions, often used for daily practice to boost fluency and exam readiness at GCSE level. Ranging from Numeracy to Higher Plus, these tasks help students retain knowledge and improve exam performance by practising "little and often". https://corbettmaths.com/5-a-day/gcse/

Last Friday, 5 Year 9 students competed in the GLF Schools Debate 2026 at the Oval Cricket Stadium today in London. The students argued against the motion that robots and AI will NOT make life better for everyone. Aureus came 3rd overall, after competing against 8 other teams. Well done, to all of the students involved.
