EAL
At Aureus School, we celebrate and value the richness that English as an Additional Language (EAL) brings to our community. If your child speaks a language other than English at home, they are classified as EAL learners.
We understand the importance of supporting EAL students in their language journey. Aureus School offers baseline assessments, where applicable, to gauge their proficiency level. Based on these assessments, we tailor interventions to ensure they acquire English effectively.
What We Offer:
- Additional English Language lessons focusing on the core skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation to strengthen language proficiency.
Encouragement for students to consider sitting a GCSE exam in their home language.
Bespoke interventions
Computer based support programs
