GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Term Dates & The School Day

The School Day

The official part of the school day starts with morning registration at 8:25am and ends at 3:00pm. This includes break but not optional before or after school activities. The total time this amounts to in a typical week is 32.25 hours

8:00am Gates Open - Students may enter the school grounds
8:25am Gates Close - Late students to enter via Reception
8:30am Registration - Coaching Time 
8:40 - 9:40am Lesson 1
9:40 - 10:40am Lesson 2
10:40 - 11:05am Break
11:05 - 12:05pm Lesson 3
12:05 - 1:05pm Lesson 4
1:05 - 1:40pm Lunch
1:40 - 2:00pm DEAR time / Assembly 
2:00-3:00pm Lesson 5

Breakfast club runs every day from 8am, as well as some optional activities. 

Personal Development Time (PDT) runs from 3:00 - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday.
