The winners of our Faculty Choir Competition
Our first inter-faculty competition took place this week, with students from Banksy, Hawking and Malala filling the hall with musical cheer.
The students have been practising for five weeks, coming together to spend their lunchtimes to practice their performance.
They all sang amazingly in the hall and should be very proud of standing up in front of the school to take part in this event.
The judges, Mrs Powell and Mrs Burbage, found it very hard to choose the winner, but with a lot of debate and deliberation, we were excited to announce that the overall winner of the competition was Malala!
A very big congratulations to Isabella, Lauren, and Sophie and to the Malala faculty for winning this time!
Miss King, Head of Arts said, “It has been a pleasure to see students and staff organising their own time to rehearse and compete as a choir. We have really enjoyed watching students build their confidence with their singing, and have found lots more students to potentially join our “Voices of Aureus” choir on a Wednesday lunchtime. Well done Malala!”
