The Cornerstone Showcase
On the 31st of March at 7pm the Didcot community sat down to witness why Aureus school is the school of Choice. They were delighted with performances from across the Creative and Expressive Arts faculty starting with the Drama club students hitting the stage with an extract from the iconic musical, Blood Brothers, by Willy Russell.
There were performances from the GCSE Dance cohort as well as two special showcase performances by the schools street dance club. With a change of tone, the audience were amazed by the musical talent of Aureus School as soloist singers and musicians took the stage.
Throughout the evening, guests were able to appreciate the amazing artwork from GCSE art students whilst enjoying a drink from the bar. Miss Amy King, Head of Creative and Expressive Arts at Aureus School said “I am really impressed with the level of courage, ambition and resilience each student has shown from this cast of over 100 students. As an Arts faculty we will continue to empower them to achieve high expectations in these subjects. At Aureus we strongly believe these four subjects are vital to our help students succeed not only during their time at Aureus, but also as they develop into young adults.
Don’t miss out on this chance to see the Creative and Expressive arts students at Aureus School again in December 2023.
