Student Council 

The Aureus School Student Council reflects our commitment to ensuring that every student has a voice and can make a positive contribution to school life. Through democratic elections, students are given the opportunity to represent their peers, influence decision-making, and actively participate in improving our school community.

Each Coaching Group will elect one Student Council representative during the Autumn term. Representatives will meet monthly to discuss school developments, share student views, and work collaboratively with staff to help make Aureus School the best it can be.

Being a Student Council representative is an opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while promoting the British values of democracy, mutual respect, individual liberty, and responsibility.

Student Council members will:

• Represent the views of students in their coaching groups and year groups
• Contribute to the vision, values, and development of the school
• Act as positive role models and leaders within the school community
• Gather and share feedback on learning, activities, trips, and school events
• Help shape decisions about school life, including facilities, uniform, and enrichment opportunities
• Support inclusion, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging for all students
• Organise and support fundraising and community projects
• Contribute to recruitment activities, including meeting prospective staff
• Present ideas and outcomes to students, parents, and governors through assemblies and events.

Together, the Student Council helps ensure that student voices are heard, valued, and acted upon.
