Apprenticeship Fair at the Civic Hall
On Monday, some of our Yr 10's went to the Civic Hall in Didcot for an Apprenticeship Fair organised by David Johnston MP.
There were employers and training providers from different sectors including: science, engineering, health, business and the emergency services.
The students spent time talking to the employers and collecting information about company opportunities and the type of apprenticeships available.
The students were surprised to learn that many of the larger companies offer more than just the obvious opportunities for their sector. For example, you can be an engineer in the NHS, work in customer service or catering with GWR and do computing or business admin at STFC.
There are still apprenticeship opportunities available for school leavers this year in the above companies and many more. Search on the individual company's website or register on: https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship
