Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
It has been another busy week at school, and I would like to begin by thanking all the families who joined us for our Parent Information Evenings this week. It was wonderful to see so many of you and a valuable opportunity to share the next steps for the school, alongside important updates for each year group.
These included information about work experience for Year 10, the options process for Year 9, and our ‘Revise With Me’ support for Year 11 as students begin to focus on the important year ahead.
We appreciate that not every family was able to attend. The slides from the evenings will be added to the school website next week and shared with families, so that everyone can access the information presented.
I am incredibly proud to share that, for the second year in a row, we have won the national award for listening to and acting on parental feedback. This is particularly meaningful as we continue to strengthen the partnership between school and home. Thank you to all our families who take the time to share their views with us. Your feedback matters, and we remain committed to listening, reflecting and acting upon it to help us continually improve our school.
Unfortunately, I have also been informed that there was not sufficient uptake for the planned FOA Brush Party, and therefore the event has had to be cancelled. Thank you to those families who had signed up and to everyone involved in the organisation, refunds will be organised through FOA.
Looking ahead to next week, we are excited to be taking part in Restart a Heart. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop important knowledge and skills, and I would like to thank Ms Buckle for her organisation and for making this opportunity possible.
