Headteacher's Weekly Update

Dear Families

This week has finally brought the sunshine and given us some renewed energy as the school year continues. It is lovely to see so many students sporting the new summer polo shirts and enjoying the field during social times.

This week has seen our dedicated dancers perfecting their routines for the upcoming dance competition. The creativity and dedication on display has been truly impressive, and I cannot wait to see the final product of their work.

In the background, we have been working to enhance our school website. I am thrilled to announce that the new site has been launched. Please take a moment to explore it and share any feedback you may have. Our goal is to ensure that accessing important information is as seamless as possible.

I am delighted to announce the selection of our Prefects for next academic year. The applications we received were exceptional and I am confident we have chosen an outstanding team to support the leadership of our school. Congratulations to all the appointed Prefects, with special recognition to Oleg and Sophie, who will serve as our Head Prefects, and Harper and Nathaniel who will take on the roles of Deputy Head Prefects. They have already begun working on their introduction video, which we will share with you shortly, and I am looking forward to working with them on setting their objectives for the coming school year.

Aureus School is always bustling with visitors and this week we met some prospective students and their families as they toured around the school. Our students left a lasting impression with their excellent conduct and the inclusive atmosphere they work to create. I was really pleased to see them sharing our values of Ambition, Resilience and Respect.

While the majority of our students consistently demonstrate our core values and are ambitious for their education, we have noticed an increasing number of students arriving late to school. I kindly ask that you reinforce the importance of arriving at school on time, students should be at their coaching rooms before the second bell rings at 8:30am. I thank you for your ongoing support.

Finally, to end the week, we bid farewell to our Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh students this morning, as they embarked on their bronze practice award. I look forward to hearing about their adventures at the campground this evening.

Wishing you all a restful weekend.

Kind Regards,

Kirsty Rogers
