Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
I have been incredibly proud of our Hospitality and Catering students this week, who hit the press with their fantastic seafood cooking. Their dedication and skill continue to impress us all. We are also delighted to announce that we have won a bid for fresh salmon, and I look forward to seeing the amazing dishes they will create.
This week, I also had the pleasure of tasting a delicious chicken Kiev, expertly prepared by our Year 10 students. It’s inspiring to see their confidence in the kitchen growing.
Beyond the culinary arts, I had the privilege of seeing the incredible pinch pots crafted by our Year 8 artists, which are evolving into wonderful animal shapes. Their creativity has shone through.
It was lovely to see so many families at the Year 9 Progress Evening. This is an important milestone in the options process, and I appreciate the engagement and support from parents and carers. A reminder that initial preferences are due by 13th February, allowing us to begin reviewing the timetable.
To end the week on a high note, I had a fantastic Hot Chocolate Friday with our Year 11 students. Their commitment to their studies is outstanding; their revision timetables are set for half-term, and they have all secured their post-16 places as they prepare for the next step beyond Aureus. I am incredibly proud of the maturity they are demonstrating.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Kind regards,
Kirsty Rogers
