KS4 explore life beyond Aureus
KS4 students, along with their parents and carers enjoyed our first post-16 information evening this week.
This engaging and informative event was an opportunity for year 10 and 11 students to come into school to hear a brief talk about post-16 education options, the applications process and then visit a number of post-16 institutions who came along to exhibit.
We were very lucky to have had representatives from: Didcot Sixth Form, Larkmead Sixth Form, King Alfred’s, Wantage, Abingdon and Witney College, Henley College, Kingclere Performing Arts College, Read College and City of Oxford College (Activate Learning)
Students collected brochures, pens and other useful materials from the different exhibitors for their goody bags.
Miss Langley, Careers Officer at Aureus said, “It was fantastic to see so many of our students and their parents at this event. They were able to talk to educational providers to find out what is on offer for year 12 and what they need to do to get there. I heard lots of great questions being asked and there was a real buzz in the school! It's so important for parents to be involved in their young person's journey. Seeing this support is incredible and all the students are in an excellent position for taking their next steps.”
