Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
I was delighted to host our first open morning for current Year 5 students this Monday. We were fully booked for the event, and our Year 7 students did an exceptional job of being Aureus Ambassadors, as they took on the responsibility of touring the families around the school. We received excellent feedback from visiting parents and students, and would like to thank our tour guides for their great work.
I would like to extend a massive thank you to Mr Hayden for all that he does to support our students in achieving the Duke of Edinburgh award. This week, we received our ‘Youth Without Limits’ certificate, confirming that our students have spent an incredible 1066 hours volunteering in our local community. What a fantastic collective achievement! I hope they are all very proud of this important work, as are we.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week were full of activities led by our House Prefects. Each house organised various events to raise money for their charity of the year. From bake sales to music concerts, the enthusiasm shown throughout highlighted their commitment to making a difference.
Finally, we hosted a large rounders tournament with several primary schools in attendance, once again utilising our sports leaders. The event was a great success, providing a wonderful opportunity for collaboration with our local community.
Wishing you a good weekend,
Kirsty Rogers
