Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
What a fantastic week it has been, with so much happening across the school. With National Offers Day taking place on Monday we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming our new families to the Aureus community.
As part of National Careers Week, we were honoured to host a Human Library for our Year 8 students. We are incredibly privileged to have so many members of our community willing to share their career pathways, inspiring our students with their journeys. You can read all about this wonderful event in our latest news article.
Our Year 7 football team enjoyed a fixture against Wheatley Park this week, with the sun making a welcome appearance. It was lovely to see their excitement and enthusiasm both on and off the pitch. Meanwhile, our Year 8 netball team had their very first fixture since the club started, a fantastic milestone for the group, showcasing their dedication and team spirit.
We celebrated World Book Day with a secret book exchange across the school. There was a real buzz of excitement as students and staff took part, some incredible wrapping but my favorite moment will be when a small group of Year 11 students came to check if I liked my book, possibly giving away the secret, but I was so pleased to share their excitement.
A massive thank you to all the families who attended Year 10 Progress Evening. Families and school working together makes such a difference to student success, and your support is greatly appreciated.
A reminder that our Creative Arts Showcase will take place at The Cornerstone on Thursday 21st March. Tickets are available to purchase from the Cornerstone website – it promises to be a fantastic evening of music, dance, and drama, celebrating the incredible hard work of our students.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support – here's to another inspiring week ahead!
Kind regards,
Kirsty Rogers
