GCSE dancers perform at Radley for Step in Time

GCSE DancersOn Sunday 4th July, GCSE Dance students took to the stage in front of a live audience at nearby Radley College.

Our students performed two contemporary dances as guest performers for Step in Time, School of Performing Arts. Performing in front of a live audience is a valuable experience for them, preparing them for assessments in year 10.

Miss King, Dance Teacher was delighted with how our students performed, “I am really proud of Aureus Dancers completing their first live show this year. On the day, all students were committed, respectful and showed great concentration, throughout the rehearsal process. I can’t wait for their next performance piece, and to see them grow in confidence as young performers.”

Year 9 student Olivia said, “The feeling of performing was great to experience again – I am really looking forward to performing with Step In Time again in the future.”

“It was great to perform with a local dance school. I am excited to perform with Aureus in front of a larger audience in year 10", added Lauren.

Tricia Mathews of Step in Time said, "Aureus students were calm and professional during their time back stage and were a pleasure to work with. We are looking forward to collaborating again with the school.”

Step in Time School of Performing Arts has been located in Didcot since 1996, offering classes for children from the age of 4 in tap, ballet and modern. Also offering musical theatre, commercial, jazz, contemporary and limbering/fitness classes, they encourage each student to achieve their full potential in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
